Labradorite, Guardian of the Dreamworld

Labradorite, Guardian of the Dreamworld

Labradorite is a mystical and magical stone that entrances all who gaze upon it.  It’s deep flashes of intense blues, violets, and gold, has been the source of folklore and imagination for time untold. Called the Merlin Stone, the Keeper of the Void, The Night Watchman, and my favorite, Guardian of the Dream World. Maybe because it reminds me of Guardians of the Guardians of the Galaxy…A movie who’s unlikely hero, actually embodied some of the more playful aspects of this elusive mineral.

Labradorite is a type of feldspar. It commonly appears to be bright bluish-green, to violet or yellow, but in actuality, has no color of it’s own. Fissures in the structure reflect and bend light, giving it the signature luminescent ethereal glow, also known as the Schiller effect, or more commonly called labradoressence. Inclusions of copper or hematite can create a spectrum of flash. Like emerald, it can be dull and opaque, or clear and gemmy. Labradorite is a calcium aluminum silicate, found in many locations around the world, including Canada, Madagascar, China, Russia, India, Austalia, and the U.S. Oregon, USA has some amazing specimens come out of it, and a rare full rainbow flash type called spectrolite, can only be sourced from Finland.

Labradorite value is dependant on the size, color, depth of color, clarity, and rarity. A very transparent piece of several carats with intricate depth and color could be quite expensive!!

Happily, labradorite is not only beautiful, it is also relatively affordable. A little blue flash can inspire a lot of joy! Most Gemstone and Metaphysical shops will carry labradorite, due to it’s classic appeal, it sells itself.

According to tradition, physically, labradorite is associated with the health of the blood, kidneys, and bones. It is said to break up blockages and get things moving, much as it’s spiritual nature would suggest. It helps us to be more extroverted and surefooted in a variety of situations. Labradorite encourages us, through heightened intuition and a breezy sense of fresh confidence, to step forward, and show our inner warmth and wisdom.           https://youtu.be/OJz0vNpP14A

Traditions

Labradorite is a legendary crystal that awakens the young adventurer inside of us all. It helps us to think for ourselves, walk our path of intuition and self knowledge, and optimistically venture into independence with a strong sense of being guided and protected, against all danger, seen, and unseen. I like to think of it as being represen tative of the Magician, Merlin, as a youth. I can see him full of untapped power and noetic wisedom, running too fast, laughing too loud, and yet unsheathing his sword without hestitation, when honor requires.

I also liken labradorite to the Yin compliment to moonstone, which is not to imply that labradorite is strictly masculine, just that it tends to embody the equalizing aspects. Like most good pairings, they compliment similarities, but create a more complex effect in the totality of their unique qualities combining.

On a metaphysical level, labradorite is often refered to as a protection stone. This, for it’s reputation as a guardian of the night. Labradorite will watch over you while your spirit travels in the dreamworld, and see you safely home. It accelerates your spiritual growth by activating not only your third eye, but your ability to get over social conformity, and say, “yes!” to your true desires, however freakish or staunch they really are. You are unique, and no one is served by a Magician who hides his Light for fear of conflict or social change

Because labradorite is such a stunning stone, it is quite popular, and comes in a variety of colors and grades. It is not hard to acquire, and there are few fakes, as the real thing is quite beautiful and plentiful enough for anyone who feels drawn to create a new reality, can have a pocketful of minor magic

As always, check your sources, and make sure you are talking to a reputable stone seller, especially now, with so many items being sold online. Buying in person, whenever possible, is always going to be your best bet. At Naked Fairy Apothecary, I create synergistic combinations for intentional health and happiness. Below are a few that contain labradorite. I can also offer most crystals and stones by themselves, in a bracelet or necklace, as a single point, or in a tensor or organite design.

What Is Orgonite?

What Is Orgonite?

What is Orgonite?

Orgonite is the current common name for a product made from various resins, metals, and carbon, often with the addition of crystals and copper coils. It is associated with the accumulation, transmutation, and even generation of the basic Life Force that is a constant in all religions and metaphysics throughout history. Called Prana, Chi, Qi, or The Force, it is the power that runs through all living things, and animates our physical and bio electrical bodies.

descriptive answer

Orgonite has evolved through successions in science and understanding since 1897, in a quest to isolate and utilize the Chi, or life force field, which Wilhelm Reich termed, “orgone” energy, a reference to orgasms, after the improvements in libido he noticed in those he treated with his inventions. The unfortunate moniker selection proved to be his downfall, as he was branded a sexual deviant and was eventually subject to one the largest and most public display of censorship in modern history, when the FDA confiscated all of his books and equipment, Tesla-style, and sentenced him to jail for failure to cease and desist in his experiments and distribution of materials. Reich mysteriously died in jail of a supposed heart attack.

Reich explored many levels of energy manipulation in his quest to cure people and understand our relationship to the Earth’s natural bio-electrical system. His Orgone Accumulator was a large box, layered with organic and non-organic material, alternating the positive/negative conductivity by alternating steel wool, cotton, and wood. He found that this created an accumulation of what he termed, “Orgone”, which could be directed towards healing one condition or another. This theory was expanded upon by Karl Hans Welz who understood the research and reduced the size of the device by using different materials, frequencies, and layering techniques, adding his own education and experiences to the mix, along with research from Reich, which indeed had not all been destroyed, and had been circulated among interested parties and studied at length. There is another school of study which falls under the category of radionics, and claims to actually generate and manipulate this life force, but I’m not going to expand on that in this article, as I have not studied the principles of it well enough to discuss it.

Currently, you will find innumerable items online and in shops that freely call themselves orgonite, and claim all manner of healing, blocking harmful EMF’s and EMP’s, although they may or may not use any of the actual materials, theory or applications, and may even be selling items that are at best, aesthetic but useless, and at worst, harmful-collecting DOR energy, (the bad stuff that emits from from 5G, sickness, fluorescence, anger, ect) and distributing it.

At the least, an orgonite accumulation item should contain equal percentages of thoroughly mixed small metal particles, a carbon element, a copper coil wrapped crystal, and a resin binder. Again, the orgone “generators” are a slightly different breed, having to do with frequencies, radionics, and modalities that I do not claim to be an expert in.

Orgonite, made properly, will help to negate the interaction of electronic pollution with our bodies and emotions. A handheld Tri Field meter can confirm the numbers, and even more specialized equipment can break it down further. It can amplify the effects of the crystal generator if inserted, and re direct frequencies that can be harmful to biological units, like people, animals, and plants.

De bunkers will correctly tell you that a banana can block a tri meter reading, which is true, if it’s in the FRONT. These readings are taken with a disc attached to the back of the phone. Go figure.

Very simple orgonite pucks can be made and used to offset negative electronic emissions, like those that groups and individuals place around cities, and bury next to cell phone towers. They are typically made with industrial resin and aluminum. However-these are not the type you want to wear or have lying around your bedroom. At all!

A lovely crystal encased in resin is artful, but not orgonite, and the same goes for people who say there is a bit of amber or a flower in the unit, representing the organic part. They are missing the science of layering that occurs when the metal, resin, and carbon are combined in the correct amounts.

To the best of my understanding, shungite and tourmaline are the best carbons to use to diffuse EMF pollution, in combination with multi metal micro shavings, and an activated crystal. This is safe to wear or use in your house, and will create the desired effects. Shungite is particularly effective in negating erratic frequencies, and doesn’t have to be mixed or embedded in anything to be effective.

I make a lot of orgonite jewelry items, in conjunction with tensor coils and crystals. One of my favorites is this simple phone disc. It is made of shungite and tourmaline powder, powdered crystal quartz, sage and resin. I have tested the effects with the equipment at my disposal, and have seen that the addition of a disc to the back of a phone case can make a huge difference in the frequency exposure

This may simply be because it’s made of shungite-I really can’t say, but it works for me.

Side note-when I went looking up bad examples and incorrectly made specimens, I honestly found quite a lot of good ones online, and people really trying their best to understand and share this information. I am just one of those people, and I learn what I can from those who write books and bravely post their experiments online.

As always, do your own experimentation and investigation, and I hope you find this article helpful, and if you would like to try a phone disc, or any other item out of my shop. Go to:

Moldavite: my favorite Martian

What is Moldavite, and why is there so much interest in it?

Moldavite is classified as a gemstone, but it is actually a tektite, made of meteoric material which was found near the Vlatrava River, in the Czech Republic. The strewnfield extends occasionally into Austria, but these moldavites have mixed with a lot of Earth, and are a brownish color, and are less valuable, and don’t carry the same qualities as the beautifully etched and bright olive green specimens from the impact which left the Reiss Crater formation, about 12 million years ago. It has had a recent resurgence in popularity, and because quantities are obviously limited, the price will continue to go up.

Moldavite has a long and fascinating history. It has been called the stone of the Holy Grail from Medieval legend, a Paleolithic talisman of the Mother Goddess, a gift from extraterrestrials, and the Philosophers Stone of Hermetic tradition, to name a few. Regardless, Moldavite does carry an extremely interesting energy that typically has a temporary physical effect on the person carrying it. The effect can range from mild nausea to euphoria, and generally dissipates with regular exposure to the stone. The reaction is called “Moldavite flush”.

There are tales that say it gives immortality to those it favors, and if once gifted, your life will swiftly change, burning away what does not serve you, until you rise from the ashes, beautiful, renewed and forever young. In Buddhist tradition, it is called Cintamani, and was said to grant wishes. Some say that Moldavite carries messages from other realms of existence or opens doors to communication with entities from other planets. Different stones seem to have “personalities” and qualities unique to one another, but energetically, there are strong similarities.

Moldavite has a very high resonate frequency that may be too potent for some people, it activates all the chakras, and speeds up one’s general path toward one’s purpose. They work well with Herkimer diamonds, labradorite, nuumite, shungite, lapis lazuli, and other tektites, like Libyan desert glass. As a general rule, Moldavite amplifies anything you put with it, so know your crystals and possible effects before you go throwing things in a mojo bag.

I have personally never had a bad experience with one, but I have heard tales of people who acquire a piece and start hearing voices or perceiving negative spirits or having vivid nightmares. For God’s sake if that is you, put it down, and go buy a sweet rose quartz!

Some say it is here to assist those who have come to bring enlightenment to the Earth. A carving on what is thought to be a piece of the ancient Cintamani reads,

“through the stars I come. I bring the chalice, covered with the shield. Within it, I bring a treasure, a gift from Orion.”

One of the most accurate descriptions I have heard, personally, is its symbolic relation to the midpoint crux of all that is divisive, Heaven and Earth, the highest and lowest energy, Father sky and Mother Earth. It reminds me of the Bin Dahl, in the center of the Shri Yantra, so I set it in jewelry to compliment that idea. The point of power, the entropic vortex, from which anything can come forth. Be careful what you wish for.

Whether you love it or hate it, Moldavite is a fascinating element, and a good investment for collectors. If it doesn’t resonate with you, don’t use it. There are a ton of fakes on the market, so I have listed below some reputable dealers that I buy from and can recommend. If you aren’t sure if your Moldavite is real, have it examined by a professional. Under a jeweler’s loop, you will see thin black lines, like electric wires, imperfect bubbles, and a distinct play of color, whether it’s dark or light green. Depending on the quality of the specimen, costs should range from 15.00 to 200 0r 300 hundred dollars a gram.

Some people make and sell reconstituted beads from crushed shavings, dust, or tiny bits mixed with resin and coloring. It will list as authentic Moldavite, which technically, it is, but just know the difference. If you aren’t sure, ask. Most sellers will be honest with a straightforward inquiry.

Enjoy your Moldavite. Do not share it with your friends. Do not use it if it makes you feel bad or scared. Do continue to use it if it just needs a little getting used to, and seriously, if you put it in direct sunlight for an hour, it will get really strong.

Also, sometimes they disappear. If it comes back to you, it’s yours, if it doesn’t, it never was.

What is A Chakra?

You may have recently heard the word “chakra” in your last yoga class, or at the local metaphysical festival. Maybe your favorite millennial at the office likes to tell you which one is out of alignment, and maybe gives you helpful hints on how to free up space on that disenchanted disc. Having no earthly idea what  your friend is referring too, you smile sweetly, and nod, “yeah, good point, I’ll work on that, thanks!” At one point in time, I had wished someone would have noticed my politely blank stare and offered me a little more information.

So, the chakra system is a set of spinning energy discs that run in alignment from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet. There are a great many body chakras, but for the sake of simplicity, I am only going to talk about the seven most common.

Historically, this system dates to the Hindu, circa 2-300 BC. The earliest texts reference these energy centers, along with words expressing Prana, or Chi, the different aspects of the life-force, and their corresponding centers on the body. However, these texts did not make mention of pretty color coding, and no one school of  thought seems any more enlightened than another. The accepted philosophies have survived many transformations and have been embellished to suit our Western philosophies, most lately by author, Hill, who wrote Nuclear Evolution, and added his chromatic match up toour evolutionary journey, or dominant personality archetypes.

There are many long and scholarly articles- links at the bottom- detailing the origins and changes in this field, but for our purposes, I am just explaining the accepted modern terminology, so you don’t feel like the token Zombie at your next enlightened dinner party.

As it stands, the colors of the rainbow spectrum go,
from the top of the head down as follows:

violet

 purple

 indigo

 light blue

green(or pink)

yellow

orange

and red.

There is also a bright white light hovering over the head, and a black one hovering below the feet, if you like.  If you are a perfectly healthy and balanced individual, the chakras should all be about the same size, softly whirling, with an open center, like friendly little hurricanes. We are said to be out of balance when a disc is closed shut, or one has dominance over the others, or is not spinning. Some people can see the energy with their peripheral vision, and it can also be photographed with a Kirlian device- a very pricey camera set-up that uses high voltage feedback to project an image of your electro magnetic field. Human beings are bio-electric units. The field is subtle, but it is scientifically measurable. Aura photography is making a big come back at the moment, thanks to better technology, and more sensitive instruments, being featured on the Today Show, the cover of Harpers, Bazaar, and in many other modern venues. Starting at the top:

The Crown Chakra

The Crown Chakra is referred to as the, its color is violet, it’s represented by the gemstone of amethyst. This chakra is most commonly associated with our connection to The Divine, the Oneness of all energy, spirituality, intuition, and guidance from our Higher Self, or sub conscious mind. If it is too wide open, or dominate, a person may be ungrounded, spaced out, disconnected from other people, and day to day life. If it is closed off, or malfunctioning, a person may be self-involved, materialistic, uncompassionate, or depressed.

The 6th Chakra ~ The Ajna

The sixth Chakra is the Ajna, or 3rd Eye Chakra. It is represented by the color indigo, and the gemstone lapis lazuli, or sapphire. It is the chakra associated with the pineal gland, a gland deep within the human brain, right between the eyes, that when activated, or functioning at full capacity, allows us to see beyond the three dimensions, into the past or future, or perceive ‘sight’ beyond what we commonly recognize as normal abilities. It allows for emotional communication with ourselves and others, and mental control, as improved with meditation and visualization.

The 5th Chakra ~ The Throat Chakra

The 5th Chakra, is the Throat Chakra. It is represented by the color of light blue, as in turquoise, or aquamarine, and rules the concept of communication. It hovers close to the actual throat area, allowing for acuity in speaking, writing, creating, expressing, in all regions of our lives. It is also associated with Truth. The truth in our own perception, and the ability to communicate it to others. If this chakra is impaired, we may become introverted, quiet, or recognize that we are  living in a way that is not in alignment with our personal truth.

The 4th Chakra ~ the Heart

The 4th Chakra is the Heart. Its colors are pink and green. Its gemstones are emerald and rose quartz. The heart chakra represents our ability to love. Love not just in the romantic sense, but for ourselves, our society, our planet, an ideology, or creative endeavor. When it is blocked, we become guarded, and cannot experience life to the fullest. We must learn to love ourselves first, in order to have a well from which to draw. An overactive heart chakra has no discernment, open to all, this person can be constantly betrayed or disappointed.

The 3rd Chakra

The 3rd Chakra is a popular buzz word. The solar plexus is the seat of the actualized self. It is located just below the rib cage. Its color is golden yellow, and it is represented by the citrine crystal. A well-developed solar plexus can inspire one to be confident, courageous, and satisfied with whatever lot life hands them. They are well liked, and easy, optimistic company. A person with an overdeveloped solar plexus might be a braggart, a lover of the limelight, or deeply conceited.

The 2nd Chakra ~ The Sacral

The 2nd Chakra is a cheerful orange, called the sacral. It is in the gut section, directly below the belly. The sacral gemstone is usually carnelian. This chakra represents the creative, childish side of the personality. The self in the full sense of nonjudgement and self-honesty. It is sensual, energetic, and inspired to act. Too much sacral energy shows itself as irresponsible, impulsive and overly flirtatious. If stifled, the person may grow old too quickly, lose their good humor, and deny their enjoyment in all areas of life.

The 1st Chakra ~ Root Chakra

The 1st Chakra is called the Root Chakra. It is located in the groin area. The sacral color is red,  often represented by ruby or garnet. The root chakra is the primitive center of survival. Flight or fight instincts. Food and territory and defending your ground. It is action, without premeditation, the sense of self as unknown. Without its action, you may over think an emergency that requires instinct and swift action.

In conclusion: you are now free to talk intelligently with your metaphysical friends and coworkers, identify which of your chakras needs to be worked on, and if you are interested in further research, more comprehensive history, or picking up a few of those crystals, see the links below.
